A Practical Platform for Fertilizer Formulation and Sample Preparation
Reliable test results begin with consistent sample preparation. The Qingdao lab is equipped with a high-shear emulsifier, a magnetic stirrer with heating and an ultrasonic cleaner. These instruments can be used to prepare and homogenize liquid fertilizer samples, improve the dispersion of ingredients, compare mixing conditions and clean laboratory vessels and accessories before subsequent tests.
For water-soluble fertilizer and concentrated liquid fertilizer development, controlled mixing is particularly important. Small differences in dispersion, dissolution or temperature may affect the appearance and consistency of a formulation. Laboratory-scale preparation allows our technical team to observe these changes before a formula is considered for further process evaluation.

Basic Physical and Chemical Testing for Routine Quality Control
The laboratory includes a benchtop pH meter, a conductivity meter, a rapid halogen moisture analyzer and a precision electronic balance. These instruments support several of the most frequently used checks in fertilizer formulation and incoming or in-process sample evaluation.
pH measurement helps evaluate the acidity or alkalinity of liquid and dissolved fertilizer samples and supports formula comparison.
Conductivity measurement provides a practical reference for the ionic concentration and batch-to-batch consistency of fertilizer solutions under defined test conditions.
Rapid moisture determination supports basic assessment of solid or powdered samples where moisture may influence storage stability, flowability or concentration.
Precision weighing helps improve repeatability during sample preparation, formula screening and routine laboratory checks.

Controlled Conditions for Incubation, Drying and Observation
The equipment list also includes an electric constant-temperature incubator, a water-bath shaker, a light incubator, a forced-air drying oven and a vacuum drying oven with a vacuum pump. These devices provide controlled environments for basic incubation, shaking, drying and observation work.
The water-bath shaker can support temperature-controlled mixing or culture-related trials, while the light incubator makes it possible to observe seedlings or other plant materials under managed light and temperature conditions. The forced-air and vacuum drying ovens can be used for sample drying and preparation when an experiment requires reduced moisture or controlled drying conditions. A dedicated refrigerator supports the short-term storage of appropriate samples and laboratory materials.

The Qingdao lab is equipped with a high-pressure steam sterilizer, a biological safety cabinet and an inoculation instrument sterilizer. These capabilities are relevant to the early-stage evaluation of microbial fertilizer, microbial inoculant and biostimulant concepts. They do not replace specialized third-party testing or advanced identification and counting methods when such analyses are required, but they enable our team to conduct practical preliminary work and prepare samples more systematically.
